Architecture of DBMS

DBMS architecture describes the structure and how the users are connected to a specific database system. Architecture affects the performance of the database. A Database Architecture is a representation of DBMS design

The architecture of DBMS is divided into three levels are as follows

1. Internal Level It is the lowest level of data abstraction that deals with the physical representation of the database on the computer. It is also known as physical level. It defines how the data are actually stored and organized on the storage medium.
